Ways to make money fast or fundraising ideas?

I am trying to help a local animal shelter that is in desperate need of funds. They have ran out and are currently unable to provide all the medical care needed for their animals, so I am trying to help them make money. I cannot pay for their treatment, but it is killing me to watch them suffer. Any ideas would be great. Thanks :)

My first suggestion would be to start asking for small donations from friends, family and contacts.

Design a sponsor sheet that you can print out that takes down details of your sponsors like name, address/email address, and amount donated. A sponsor sheet just makes the donation more personal which helps encourage people to donate. They feel better about donating because they are going to be remembered. You also have their details now to thank them later and to also advertise your other fundraisers to them. You should speak to as many people as possible.

The next thing would be to start a Facebook page/cause that links to a method of donating to you online. Consider using a company like Paypal. Then you should invite all your friends on Facebook to join the cause and to help out by donating a small amount of money or by taking part in one of your other fundraisers. Write the best and most emotional pulling invitation message you can. Try get people to really understand the extent of your cause and make them feel involved already.

Make sure you continually update your FB page with news of how your fundraising is going and also how the animals are fairing. Use images of the animals to help encourage people to donate! Images are great tools to use on people’s emotions!

You can then also consider approaching local business, asking them to get involved in your wonderful cause by helping out and sponsoring.

Then you can start doing some fundraisers. Go to Rewarding Fundraising Ideas and look around at all the fundraising ideas there. You’ll find some great ideas and advice on running those fundraisers properly!

Their are a couple of fundraisers I would suggest…

The Magazine Fundraiser (my number 1 recommendation), Credit Card Fundraiser, Cookie Dough Fundraiser, and the Free, Taking To The Streets fundraiser. There are also many other great fundraisers that you will find.

Attention: Moms making money from home at a real job?

Are there any real moms out there with a real job making money? I used to have a work from home position and I need to find another one – why I had to leave is a long story – but real opportunities with real companies paid for by the hour like a real job as a real employee are hard to find. My internet searches are turning up nothing but scams where they are really selling manuals and guides and no legit opportunity. I don’t want a home based business. I want a job at home. Any ideas….where do you work?

Well 1st off you should never trust what anyone says online for example i could say im a mum and i work for paymeloads.com and get paid about $5000 . .. .. . .wonder if thats a real site, well either way im not a mum or anything but many people that go on sites like this are the admins of the scam sites or are being paid to make the scam seem real. (some people are telling the truth though but can never tell who is and who isnt beucase you dont know them).

I did use to use ciao which is a survery site that pays you to do surverys and write reviews on products you have used in the pass, this is a real site however you would only earn a few dollars a month so not worthwhile in your case. (this is how you tend to see the real sites as they dont say you can earn like thousands a month

personaly i would suggest starting your own bussines online, for example selling on ebay, i was reading an article in a bussiness newpaper that a mum had deicied to start her own business doing this, she had an eye for value on baby clothes so she bought baby cloths cheap and sold them on ebay to earn a profit. Not sure how much she made and how long she was doing it she might still be selling babys cloths as the artical was only a few months old.

So you could do something like that, personally thats what i would do because i would no 100% that im doing what i like and it cant be a scam because you own it and it does not have to take up much time (depending on how much effort you want to put into it)

I am a 41Y old single mom of 2 sons,I’ve worked hard since age 16, and I am tired of working for someone else,I have researched home businesses for a while now,and found them all to be scams,I refuse to invest any hard money in some mess, I’m intelligent and dedicated to whatever I do I just need to find a real opportunity,so any serious information would be helpful.

There are legitimate home based business but there are no get rich quick Internet business, set it up and they will come, type of business that I have found. I’ve done, and still do, affiliate marketing where I setup up a blog and a website where I get traffic through article marketing. It is a lot of work but it is possible if you have the desire to learn and the drive to work hard at it. There are a lot of tricks to learn at any making money opportunity. It is very difficult to learn these things on your own.

Ive been looking for a job for ages and even though ive applied to around 15 -20 job vacancies, ive never even had an interview, despite having a well made CV and excellent GCSE’s. Im now about to go into my second year of sixth form.

A lot of young people get hired as telemarketers by different firms. In fact, some colleges will hire students to telemarket to their alumni for donations. In the meantime, if you type pretty good, put notices up around school offering to type essays for people (not plagiarizing).

There are next to no jobs of Homeworking and the likes. There are several reasons for this.

Think about it as if you were a company. Would you send your expensive stock to an address that you had no confirmation of existing unless you have time to go there, and you still have no confirmation that they live there or will be there indefinetly, for the prospect that they might perform your task, on time and not just bin it all and split, or bin it all and get more, or take too long, or any other ideas.

Take envelope stuffing:
Leaflets to print cost maybe hundreds or Thousands of pounds, envelopes cost more money, labels more money. All this money that a company would be risking sending to someones house.

Then there is the issue that the private details of the clients of the company is going off a company premises, which as well as being risky is in potential violation of the Data protection act UK 1998 (Private data must be carefully protected by the company, if it is off premises, they loose some of the control of it), still guarantees that the Job will be done.

Lets do Data Entry:
Your a reputable company with a global customer base. Would you send your valuable customer Information to a random house for a stranger to look after. And Proccess it in some way.

Doing that would contravene the Data Protection act 1998 (The data is outwith their control, so could be seen as breaching the Act) and you would have to possibly pay to insure house as a place of Business.

Telesales:
Some Random company offers you a job where you phone a database of numbers trying to offer the products of that company to the General public. Trouble is, when you go to claim your phone expenses, the company has Ceased to be.

These all seem legite on the face, or like good Business ideas, but there are flaws or other reasons that it can’t be possible.

Why not just go and get a job like most normal people, or change your living habits to live within your salary. Or you could start a Business, But thats a different subject.

Because there are so many types of Internet businesses, I am going to keep this as simple as possible. However that doesn’t mean that what I tell you will be of limited value. Instead I am giving you a glimpse of how all Internet businesses should be set up but the sad fact is that most businesses set up are doomed to fail.

The good news is that I will share with you how your Internet business should be set up.Then I will share with you how it should be run. Finally I will share with you how you can build and market your Internet business.

Internet Business Start Up When You Have Neither Time Nor Money!

Trying to start up an Internet business when you have neither time nor money is the ultimate challenge to overcome. I know because that is exactly where I am coming from. Without going on a “poor me rant”, I had to find a way around these hurdles and fast!

To do anything effectively, the time you have to work must be undisturbed or it will take sooooooo much longer!

OK so what can you do in 2 hours a day which won’t cost money to build an Internet business from start up ?

I asked a number of professional marketers what they would do, as they have the wisdom and experience of hindsight and they said the following:-

  • Focus on forums doing relationship building, answering questions and doing constructive commenting
  • Write keyword focused articles in your niche
  • Do blogging and commenting on other blogs of higher traffic and high page ranks.

These were the main areas I was recommended to focus on. Others said to use social networking as a means to get my message out there, video marketing and to get involved in free giveaways.

All these ideas are very valuable and I do hope to apply them all. However when starting any online business, building a reputation and building up visitors and traffic to your site or blog is a priority.

It has taken me a long time to get to this stage but I now find I am learning more by visiting blogs in my niche and finding articles of interest and trying to write comments of value to others. In the past I would just comment on how good I found the article-and this was genuine on my part, but I found I need to do more than that if I want people to become interested in what I have to offer.

I don’t just comment on blogs with high page rank as I find there is a lot of traffic passing through blogs of lower page rank also. Just by looking at someones blog, you can see if there is a buzz element to it, i.e is it a place people like to hang ?

I find it great to read blogs of other people who have recently started online as they share what works for them. We all tend to like different ways to promote our blogs and sites so everybody has something to contribute.

Having 2 hours a day to work ( I know its crazy), I have started and I emphasise STARTED as of today to do  more blog commenting and using trackbacks and zemanta to get more traffic to my blog.

My next post will go into these areas in a lot more detail and I will share with you how exactly I do this.

The upshot of this is that I now need to whip myself into gear and keep my blog updated with useful information and not the ramblings of a woman demented by 2 young kids doing a merry dance on my head(only joking-well half the time anyway)!

Internet Business Start Up-Time For Action Not Re-action!

As I have so little free time to work at my internet business start up, I really try to keep the head down and filter out all the background noise in my head and outside this room I call my office. Well to call it an office is a bit of a stretch! It is also a bedroom, laundry room, room for kids to jump on the bed and dive off, storage room and room for storing bags of supplies to go to charity!

A little crowded don’t you think but if I converted my attic what would I do with all the stuff up there!

Anyway I am getting up to speed with my training on internet marketing and starting to implement some action items for my internet business start up. It is time for action, not re-action any more. I must now step up to the mark and remember the following

  1. D’ont get it right-just get it going!
  2. Learn as you apply
  3. You don’t work forward from the start-you start by planning from the end and working backwards!

Afterall even if I could work 24 hours a day I would still not get everything done….

Website Promotion & Internet Marketing For Internet Business Start Up

Sometimes when everything else seems to fail, there is only one solution and that is to start from scratch. That does not mean, forget all the messes of the past. Instead it is best to remember the good parts and learn from the bad and swiftly move on!

In the past when I studied web site promotion-internet marketing with the aim for an internet business start up, I was an eager beaver, launching myself into everything, reading alot and doing little. I got stuck in information paralysis and got so tired trying to analyze everything that I got exhausted and got distracted by the next best thing.

I was like a busy bee trapped inside a window  beating my wings against the cold hard glass and finally someone has opened the window and set me free to breath nice fresh life giving air! I feel restored and with the rush of oxygen to my brain I am begininng to think and function again.

I am starting from scratch learning internet marketing the right way. Instead of being paralyzed by inaction I am inspired to act. I do little but sometimes its the little steps that end up doing alot!

A little bit of me can be found in a quick video I shot-I don’t think Hollywood will be breaking down my door but who knows maybe someone will think my Irish accent is cute!

Internet Business Start Up On The Night-Shift With Alex Jeffreys

 Out there in the wide world of Google, there is a man who is spoken about with reverence, who is followed and worshiped by thousands who works miracles with even the most unlikely of people. He is responsible for launching  many successful internet business start ups and who I am proud to call my online internet marketing mentor, a drumroll please for  Mr Alex Jeffreys.

Don’t worry, this article isn’t going to be one of those starry eyed ones but I do believe giving credit where credit is due.

I titled this piece of writing “spending the night shift with Alex Jeffreys”. Let’s face it, it is a lot less controversial than “spending the night with Alex Jeffreys” but that is exactly what I do.

Now before you gasp, let me explain.

You see, I spend very tiring long days with 2 wild and wired kids who only shut down when I remove their batteries about 930 at night! I then spend a bit of quality time with my husband even if it’s just to show him I exist! He works just as hard and spends long hours at work just as I do.

I go to bed for a while and then get up to do the night shift with Alex Jeffreys!

So far my live training begins at 11pm with Alex every Monday night and believe me it is intense. I normally call it a night around 2pm but the party is still in full swing when I sign off. I work other nights also but I do take 2 nights off in the week which I feel is important.

I do limit my time spend at work during the night as I find it hard to unwind again afterwards as my mind is buzzing with activities to be done, implementing what I have learned etc.

I thought ignorance was bliss but the realisation of how little I really know is depressing. I know this is all part of the “process” of going from unconscious incompetence (where you basically don’t have a clue but are ignorant of this fact) to conscious incompetence (when you realise that yes you know very little) and then from conscious competence (hey I’m getting the hang of this) to unconscious competence (automatically know what to do and do it well).

What a mouthful, but these are the stages of the learning process and I am at the conscious incompetence stage moving slowly towards the conscious competent stage. Progress at last!
