I watched the Queens speech live last night and it really brought tears to my eyes. What a historic moment. The speech given by the Queen was heartfelt and sincere and marked a momentous occasion for both countries. I hung onto her every word as did so many others in Ireland. When polled well over 80% of the Irish population were glad to welcome the Queen to Ireland. The other 20% are fringe elements of every society and other people who were having a gripe really not at the Queen but at the government due to our current economic climate here in Ireland.
